When all musical groups were shuttered at the start of the pandemic, two flutists from the Maybrook Wind Ensemble started playing duets each week because the thought of going without the joy of making music was intolerable. The Hudson Valley Enchanted Winds evolved over the last four years. Initially we had a flutist playing oboe parts and two saxophonists playing bassoon parts. During our formative years, members would come and go, but finally in 2022 the four of us finally settled into our standard woodwind configuration.  Over the last two years, the Hudson Valley Enchanted Winds Quartet has practiced weekly and played several concerts and community events as well as wedding receptions.
